Iranian Military Leader Meets with Pakistani Defense Minister to Strengthen Ties

Islamabad: General Muhammad Baqeri, the Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of the Islamic Republic of Iran, met with Khawaja Muhammad Asif, Pakistan’s Minister for Defence, Defence Production, and Aviation, at the minister’s office in Islamabad.

According to a statement by Press Information Department, the meeting highlighted the cordial and fraternal ties between the two nations, which are rooted in longstanding religious and cultural connections. Both officials expressed satisfaction with the current state of bilateral relations, noting positive progress in various fields.

The discussions focused on areas of mutual interest, including joint border management and counter-terrorism measures. Both sides expressed a commitment to enhancing cooperation in these and other areas in the future, with an aim to further strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
