Islamabad: President of Iran, Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian, will embark on a two-day state visit to Pakistan starting this Saturday. This visit comes as a response to an invitation extended by Pakistan’s Prime Minister, Shehbaz Sharif.
According to Radio Pakistan, the Iranian President will be accompanied by a high-level delegation that includes Foreign Minister Seyyed Abbas Araghchi, senior ministers, and other high-ranking officials. During his visit, President Pezeshkian is scheduled to meet with President Asif Ali Zardari and engage in delegation-level talks with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif. This marks Dr. Pezeshkian’s first official visit to Pakistan since assuming office as President of Iran.
Earlier this year, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif visited Iran on May 26th. The upcoming visit by the Iranian President is anticipated to further enhance the relations between Pakistan and Iran, fostering closer cooperation and understanding between the two neighboring countries.
