Iran’s General Staff Chief Praises Pakistan’s Stance on Gaza

Islamabad: Chief of General Staff of the Iranian Armed Forces, Major General Dr Mohammad Bagheri, met with President Asif Ali Zardari in Islamabad to discuss bilateral relations.

According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting underscored the longstanding and fraternal ties between Pakistan and Iran. Both leaders emphasized the importance of enhancing trade and economic relations to benefit both nations. The discussion also touched upon the shared challenge of terrorism, with both countries agreeing on the necessity of effective and coordinated measures to combat this issue.

Major General Bagheri took the opportunity to commend Pakistan’s stance on the situations in Gaza and Lebanon, highlighting the alignment in foreign policy perspectives between the two countries.
