Brussels: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister, Senator Mohammad Ishaq Dar, will undertake a three-day official visit to Brussels from today. He is set to engage with European leaders to strengthen ties and review cooperation between Pakistan and the European Union.
According to Radio Pakistan, the visit comes at the invitation of the European Union’s High Representative and Vice President for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Kaja Kallas. The primary agenda is to co-chair the 7th session of the Pakistan-EU Strategic Dialogue, which represents the pinnacle of institutionalized interaction between the two sides. The discussions will focus on reviewing the cooperation established under the Pakistan-EU Strategic Engagement Plan 2019.
In addition to the strategic dialogue, the Deputy Prime Minister will participate in the 4th EU Indo-Pacific Ministerial Forum. This platform will provide an opportunity for further bilateral meetings and engagements with senior EU officials, enhancing the scope of collaboration on various fronts.
The visit highlights a significant milestone in the relationship between Pakistan and the EU. Pakistan is focused on fostering a comprehensive and mutually beneficial partnership with the European Union, reflecting its commitment to international cooperation and dialogue.
