Islamabad: A suspect involved in a murder case has been arrested by the Islamabad Capital Police following a meticulous investigation involving Shahzad Town Police Station and the Homicide Investigation Unit (HIU). The arrest pertains to an accusation by a citizen that the suspect, Muzafar, had murdered his brother, Murtajiz, prompting legal action.
According to Islamabad Capital Police, the complaint led Shahzad Town police to register FIR No. 1037/24 and form a special investigation team. Utilizing both technical and scientific methods, the team successfully apprehended Muzafar. Deputy Inspector General (DIG) of Islamabad, Syed Ali Raza, has instructed all senior officials to intensify their efforts in cracking down on criminal activities to safeguard the lives and properties of citizens. He emphasized a zero-tolerance policy towards violence and injustice, ensuring that those implicated in such crimes face stern legal consequences.
DIG Raza further mandated all police officers and officials to strengthen their operations against criminal elements, underlining that the safety and security of the populace are paramount and that no negligence will be tolerated in this mission.
