Islamabad to Get New Park at Foothills of Margalla Hills

Islamabad: In Islamabad, a new park will be constructed over one thousand acres at the foothills of Margalla Hills. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting chaired by Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi at CDA headquarters in Islamabad. The meeting reviewed in detail the ongoing and future development projects in the federal capital.

According to Radio Pakistan, Mohsin Naqvi said Islamabad will be developed into a model city, where international-standard facilities and recreational opportunities will be provided to the public. It was decided that five-star hotels will be built through joint ventures with international firms. The Interior Minister directed that a new zero-tax hotel policy be formulated to attract investors.

It was decided that a complete survey of all land and properties will be conducted in Islamabad by the Survey of Pakistan. Mohsin Naqvi instructed that a marketing team be appointed for all upcoming auctions to encourage maximum investor participation. It was decided that the control room for Capital Emergency Services will be established within the Safe City. Chairman CDA and Chief Commissioner Islamabad, Sohail Ashraf gave a detailed briefing on development projects.
