Japanese Ambassador Discusses Trade and Investment Opportunities in Sindh with Governor Kamran Khan Tesori

Karachi: Governor of Sindh, Kamran Khan Tesori, hosted Japanese Ambassador Mitsuhiro Wada at the Governor’s House to discuss strengthening bilateral relations, promoting investment, and enhancing trade opportunities. The meeting highlighted the potential for Japanese investors in various sectors of the province and emphasized the role of Sindh’s young and skilled workforce in attracting foreign investments.

According to Sindh Governor House, the meeting between Governor Tesori and Ambassador Wada focused on mutual interests and the benefits of increased economic cooperation between Sindh and Japan. Governor Tesori urged Japanese investors to capitalize on the diverse opportunities available in the region, pointing out the province’s educated, experienced, and industrious workforce as key incentives for investment. He assured full support from the Sindh Investment Facilitation Centre (SIFC) to facilitate investors and expressed a strong desire to expand trade relations with Japan.

Ambassador Wada acknowledged the interest of Japanese businesses in Sindh and praised the ongoing projects initiated by the Governor’s office. He also participated in a plantation campaign by planting a sapling, demonstrating a commitment to environmental sustainability alongside economic discussions. His positive remarks were also documented in the visitor’s book at the Governor’s House.

In a press interaction following the meeting, Governor Tesori reiterated the importance of fostering strong connections between Japanese investors and local businessmen. He also mentioned plans to engage with the federal government to enhance facilities and support for the Japanese business community in Sindh, further facilitating economic engagement and cooperation.
