Jhang to Host Inaugural Desert Rally and Cultural Festival

Jhang:The Jhang district administration is set to organize its first-ever Desert Rally alongside a three-day cultural festival starting October 9, aiming to promote tourism and highlight the district’s rich cultural heritage.

According to Radio Pakistan, Jhang Deputy Commissioner Babar Sahib Din announced the event during a press conference held at the rally’s starting point. The rally will include various categories such as women’s, stock, and veterans’ races, in addition to bike racing and other competitive activities.

The district administration intends to showcase Jhang’s unique features on a broader platform, establishing it as an emerging tourist destination. Approximately one hundred of Pakistan’s top drivers and riders, alongside tourists from around the world, are expected to participate, navigating a 95-kilometer track through the Thal region.

The three-day event will blend desert rally racing with cultural experiences, including Thal cultural activities, horse riding, traditional dances, folk music, kabaddi, volleyball, a musical night, and more.
