JKSDMI Launches New UK Parliamentary Campaign for Kashmir

United Kingdom: The Jammu Kashmir Self-Determination Movement International (JKSDMI) has unveiled a new parliamentary campaign in the United Kingdom, aiming to intensify lobbying efforts and heighten global awareness regarding human rights issues in Indian-administered Jammu and Kashmir.

According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Raja Najabat Hussain, Chairman of JKSDMI, announced the initiative during a lunch reception in Bury. The event was attended by influential political figures, community leaders, and activists.

Councillor Yasmine Dar, a Former Lord Mayor of Manchester, will spearhead the campaign. It will focus on engaging with new Members of Parliament to bolster lobbying efforts on the Kashmir issue.

The reception included discussions on human rights concerns in Kashmir, community cohesion, and the role of British lawmakers in international advocacy. Speakers commended JKSDMI for its persistent advocacy and strategic engagement in Parliament and voiced their support for the campaign.

JKSDMI’s initiatives have kept Kashmir a prominent issue on the UK’s political agenda, with increasing backing within the British Parliament. The organization continues to be a leading advocate for self-determination, human rights, and international accountability.
