Islamabad: Federal Minister for Economic Affairs, Ahad Cheema, has expressed optimism that the forthcoming 8th Joint Ministerial Commission (JMC) meeting between Pakistan and Azerbaijan will pave the way for enhanced trade cooperation between the two countries.
According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Cheema shared these thoughts during a meeting with the Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Pakistan, H.E. Khazar Farhadov, who met him in Islamabad. The discussion centered around the preparations for the JMC meeting, which is scheduled for December 3rd and 4th of this year.
The Minister highlighted the importance of collaboration between the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the Ministry of Defence Production to ensure the effective implementation of the commission’s outcomes. He also announced plans to establish an ‘Azerbaijan Trade House’ in Pakistan, with further details pending approval from the Azerbaijani government. This initiative is expected to strengthen economic ties and facilitate trade relations between the two nations.
