Joint Police Operation in Mianwali Neutralizes 10 Terrorists in Fierce Encounter

Mianwali: A coordinated operation by the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) and Mianwali Police in the hilly terrain under Makkarwal Police Station jurisdiction led to the neutralization of 10 terrorists following a fierce gunfight.

According to Punjab Police, the intelligence-based operation was spearheaded by DPO Mianwali Akhtar Farooq, involving a substantial force from the CTD, local police, and elite units. The operation was initiated after receiving credible intelligence about the presence of 10 to 15 terrorists in the area. The confrontation resulted in an intense exchange of fire, where 10 Kharji terrorists were killed in retaliatory fire by the police forces.

IG Punjab Dr. Usman Anwar praised the joint teams for their significant achievement and reiterated the readiness and vigilance of Punjab Police against threats to security. DPO Mianwali Akhtar Farooq echoed this sentiment, affirming the ongoing commitment of Mianwali Police to combat and deter forces antagonistic towards peace in the region.
