Journalism Recognized as Essential Pillar of State and Democracy by Ayaz Sadiq

Islamabad: Speaker National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq has emphasized that journalism is a vital pillar of the state and a fundamental component of democracy. In his message commemorating the International Day to End Impunity for Crimes Against Journalists, which is being observed today, Sadiq highlighted the critical role that journalism plays in fostering a just and democratic society.

According to Radio Pakistan, Sadiq stressed the importance of ending crimes against journalists to ensure the establishment of a fair and democratic society. He condemned the killings of journalists in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir and Palestine, stating that the targeting of journalists and media workers by armed forces and the Israeli occupation forces represents a blatant violation of human rights, international law, and the principles of freedom of the press.
