Khuzdar: The Kalat Division observed Corruption Awareness Day, emphasizing the urgent need to address corruption, which Additional Commissioner Ejaz Ahmed Jafar likened to termites undermining society. The event featured robust participation from local students and educational leaders.
According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the ceremony, presided over by Divisional Director of Schools, Muhammad Zakaria Shahwani, included speeches from numerous educators and administrators who advocated for a corruption-free society. The day was dedicated to reinforcing commitments to combat corruption and promoting integrity within the community.
The event also celebrated the achievements of local students in a competition that highlighted their understanding of corruption’s impact. Muhammad Adil from School Mastung won first place, followed by Areeba Akram from Government Girls High School Mohammad Shahi Mastung in second, and Muhammad Adnan from Government Higher Secondary School Khatan Khuzdar in third. Additional Commissioner Jafar concluded the ceremony by distributing shields to the winners and guests of honor, acknowledging their contributions to raising awareness about corruption.
