Karachi Hosts Workshop on Enhancing Pakistan-China Capital Market Collaboration

Karachi, The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP) conducted a workshop aimed at identifying opportunities for increased collaboration and investment between the capital markets of Pakistan and China.

According to Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan, the workshop, led by SECP Chairman Akif Saeed and attended by industry experts including Commissioner Abdul Rehman Warraich, focused on initiatives like cross-listing of stocks, joint ventures, and the creation of Exchange Traded Funds (ETFs) tailored for Chinese investors. Discussions extended to strengthening infrastructure, advancing digitalization, expanding the investor base, and linking capital markets more closely with the real economy to enhance financial integration and awareness within Pakistan.
