Karachi Mayor to File Defamation Suit Against Construction Firm Over Allegations

Karachi: Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, has announced legal action against the company M/s A.K. Khan and Brothers and its owner, Abdul Khaliq, in response to accusations of corruption against the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation (KMC) Technical Services Wing. A defamation case will be filed, and the company will be blacklisted by KMC, prohibiting any contractual engagements during the legal proceedings.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the decision follows a video campaign by the company that accused KMC officers of corruption and illegal activities. The accusations extended to implicating the courts, prompting the mayor’s decisive response. The company operates from P-562, Block S, Bilalabad, North Nazimabad, near Ship Owners College in Karachi.
