Karachi Task Force Seizes 246 Kilograms of Illegal Beef Meat in Liaquatabad

Karachi: In a recent operation, the Task Force of the Veterinary Services Department of the Karachi Metropolitan Corporation confiscated 246 kilograms of unauthorized beef meat from various sites across Liaquatabad. The action was executed following directives from Mayor Karachi, Barrister Murtaza Wahab, and was aimed at curbing illegal animal slaughter in the city.

According to Karachi Metropolitan Corporation, the seized meat has been allocated to Karachi Zoo and Alamgir Welfare Trust. The operation was led by the Senior Director of Veterinary Services alongside the Director of Veterinary Services and involved participation from relevant staff members. The Senior Director emphasized that, under the guidance of Mayor Wahab, efforts to combat illegal animal slaughter will persist to ensure that meat provision within the city adheres to regulatory and hygiene standards.
