Stockholm: At a recent event hosted by the Kashmir Council, speakers called for a peaceful resolution to the ongoing conflict in Kashmir. According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Sweden, Bilal Hayee, highlighted the historical context of the issue, noting that the conflict began when India deployed its army to the State of Jammu and Kashmir without the consent of its people. He reiterated the United Nations Security Council’s stance that the future of Kashmir should be determined through a plebiscite supervised by the UN, reflecting the will of the Kashmiri people.
