Kashmir Solidarity Day Observed with Rallies and Public Gatherings Across Pakistan

Islamabad: Kashmir Solidarity Day is being observed today as Pakistan showcases its support for the Kashmiri people’s quest for self-determination under United Nations resolutions. Public activities, including rallies and gatherings, are taking place nationwide, while government offices and institutions remain closed for the public holiday.

According to a statement by Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, a significant rally commenced from the Foreign Office to D-Chowk in Islamabad. Participants carried banners and chanted slogans, emphasizing the hardships faced by Kashmiris. Acting Chairman Senate Syedaal Khan reiterated Pakistan’s consistent moral, political, and diplomatic backing for the Kashmiri cause.

Minister for Petroleum Musadik Masood Malik addressed the rally, condemning India’s actions in Jammu and Kashmir. Malik assured attendees that Pakistan would continue to highlight human rights concerns in the region. Chairman Kashmir Committee Rana Muhammad Qasim Noon urged the resolution of the Kashmir issue based on UN Security Council directives.

In Muzaffarabad, the Legislative Assembly of Azad Jammu and Kashmir is holding a special session to stand with those in Indian-administered Kashmir. Human chains are forming at several key points connecting Pakistan with Azad Kashmir, demonstrating solidarity.

Mushaal Hussein Mullick, Chairperson of the Peace and Culture Organization, also led a rally in Islamabad. She criticized the global community’s lack of accountability for India’s actions, reaffirming Pakistan’s role as a steadfast ally of the Kashmiri people.

Across the country, posters and billboards are displayed in prominent locations to draw attention to the issues faced by Kashmiris. Functions and demonstrations continue in Mirpur, Kotli, and Bhimber districts, reflecting the widespread national support for the cause.
