Kashmiris Observe India’s Republic Day as Black Day

Kashmir: Kashmiris on both sides of the Line of Control and around the world are observing India’s Republic Day as Black Day today.

According to Kashmir Media Service, anti-India protest demonstrations and rallies have been organized in capitals across the globe, as well as in Azad Kashmir and Pakistan. These events aim to highlight the sentiment among Kashmiris that India is infringing upon their fundamental rights and lacks legitimacy in celebrating Republic Day in the region.

Authorities in the occupied region have enforced a sweeping lockdown ahead of Republic Day celebrations. The measures include multi-layered security grids, additional checkpoints, and repeated identity checks across the territory, underscoring the heightened tensions in the area.
