Srinagar: The All Parties Hurriyat Conference has underscored the unwavering resolve of Kashmiris to continue their struggle against India’s occupation of Jammu and Kashmir until it is completely ended.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Advocate Abdul Rashid Minhas, the spokesperson for the All Parties Hurriyat Conference, declared in Srinagar that India has maintained its hold on IIOJK for the past 77 years against the will of the Kashmiri people, relying solely on military might. He characterized India’s presence in the region as that of an aggressor. Minhas highlighted the significant sacrifices made by Kashmiris for their freedom and noted that Indian actions have not succeeded in quelling the Kashmiri spirit of liberation. He stressed that these sacrifices are a crucial component of the freedom movement and emphasized that they will not be in vain.
Minhas further stated that India should abandon its forceful suppression of Kashmiris and its unrealistic stance, advocating instead for a conducive environment to resolve the Kashmir issue. He emphasized that lasting development, peace, and security in the region are unattainable without addressing the ongoing dispute.
The APHC spokesperson also voiced serious concerns about the escalating restrictions, sieges, search operations, and house raids in the occupied territory, particularly as India prepares for its Republic Day on January 26. He noted that Indian forces have launched a new campaign of harassment under the guise of security measures.
Minhas reiterated that India lacks the right to hold Republic Day celebrations in the internationally recognized disputed territory of Jammu and Kashmir. He called upon international human rights organizations to take note of the intensifying Indian actions against Kashmiris.
