KATI Leadership Shake-Up: Junaid Naqi and Team Step Down Amid Personal Commitments

Karachi: In a significant development within the Korangi Association of Trade and Industry (KATI), President Junaid Naqi, along with Senior Vice President Ejaz Sheikh and Vice President Tariq Hussain, have resigned due to personal commitments, prompting a leadership reshuffle.

During an Executive Committee meeting, KATI members unanimously accepted the trio’s resignations and swiftly elected Ikram Rajput as the new President. Accompanying him, Zahid Hameed was chosen as Senior Vice President, and Muhammad Talha as Vice President for the remainder of the current term.

Patron-in-Chief SM Tanveer and Deputy Patron-in-Chief Zubair Chhaya, alongside past presidents and association members, lauded the contributions of the outgoing office bearers. They offered their full backing and congratulations to the incoming team, expressing optimism that the new leadership would uphold KATI’s tradition of serving the business sector.

President Rajput expressed gratitude to the KATI leadership, pledging to continue the legacy of the late SM Muneer. He committed to enhancing KATI’s role in supporting its members and focusing on the development of the Korangi Industrial Area. Additionally, Rajput acknowledged the efforts of Junaid Naqi and his team for their commendable work.

Ikram Rajput, a seasoned leader with prior experience as President of the Hyderabad Chamber of Commerce and Vice President of the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FPCCI), aims to bring his expertise to KATI, fostering progress and addressing industrial challenges.
