Khalid Highlights Critical Role of Women’s Empowerment for National Progress

Lahore: Punjab Secretary School Education Khalid Nazir Watto has underscored the significance of women’s empowerment as a crucial factor for national development. Addressing a function at Radio Pakistan Lahore in observance of International Women’s Day, he detailed the Punjab government’s initiatives to safeguard women’s interests across various sectors.

According to Radio Pakistan, Director General Women Development Department Saman Rai urged women to acknowledge their potential and contribute to fostering a balanced society. The event provided a platform for renowned voices, with Columnist Sadia Qureshi affirming the demonstrated strength of women across all fields.

The gathering featured insights from Columnist and Poet Sughra Sadaf, Lieutenant Commander Navy Ammara Imtiaz Khan, and Filmstar Nisho Begum, who also delivered speeches. It brought together women from different backgrounds, including government officials, academics, poets, writers, and actresses, to share their experiences and perspectives.

Station Director Radio Pakistan Lahore Dr. Sohail Ahmer Basra, in his opening remarks, reiterated Radio Pakistan’s dedication to offering a stage for women to highlight their achievements and challenges.
