Khuzdar Prepares for Five-Day Anti-Polio Campaign Starting October 28

Khuzdar: Additional Commissioner Kalat Division Ijaz Ahmad Jafar presided over a meeting of the Divisional Task Force on the Anti-Polio Campaign, where officials discussed final preparations for the upcoming five-day campaign set to take place from October 28 to November 1, 2024. The meeting was attended by key figures, including the Baloch Focal Person for Anti-Polio Campaign Commissioner Office Abdul Samad Mengal and Superintendent Commissioner Office Haji Abdul Razzaq. Deputy Commissioners and District Health Officers from the Kalat Division participated via video link.

According to Directorate General Public Relation – Govt of Balochistan, the meeting aimed to finalize strategies for the campaign, which will distribute various vitamins and administer polio vaccinations across Kalat Division, including Khuzdar. Area Coordinator for WHO Qalat Division, Dr. Nusrat Baloch, provided a briefing on the preparations, emphasizing the role of formed teams to ensure smooth execution. Additional Commissioner Jafar appealed to society to contribute to the campaign’s success, stressing that it is a national duty to safeguard children from life-long disability and to strive toward a polio-free region.
