Kibor Rates Reflect Stability Across Tenors

Karachi: The State Bank of Pakistan released the latest Karachi Interbank Offered Rates (KIBOR) on Wednesday, showing stability across various tenors. The rates have seen little fluctuation, indicating a period of steadiness in the financial markets.

The 1-week and 2-week tenors recorded bid rates of 10.86 and offer rates of 11.36. Both tenors show no significant changes from previous data, suggesting a consistent trend in short-term lending rates.

For the 1-month tenor, the bid rate stood at 10.85, with an offer rate of 11.35. Similarly, the 3-month and 6-month tenors were reported at bid rates of 10.82 and offer rates of 11.07.

The longer tenors, including the 9-month and 1-year, reflected a bid rate of 10.75 with an offer rate of 11.25, and a bid rate of 10.74 with an offer rate of 11.24, respectively.

These figures from the State Bank of Pakistan highlight a period of relative calm in the interbank market, offering indicators of potential trends in borrowing costs for businesses and consumers alike.
