KP Government Accused of Misusing Public Funds for Political Objectives: Tarar

Islamabad: Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has claimed that Khyber Pakhtunkhwa’s government is utilizing public funds for political purposes, amidst escalating corruption and mismanagement.

According to Radio Pakistan, Tarar expressed his concerns on social media platform X, stating that the provincial government continues to engage in excessive spending. He criticized the administration for allegedly using public finances to further political agendas, rather than addressing governance issues.

The Information Minister highlighted the recent expansion of the provincial cabinet, questioning the criteria for appointing new ministers and advisers. Tarar argued that the appointments were driven by incompetence rather than merit, suggesting that this increase in cabinet size is unlikely to improve the stagnant governance that has persisted over the past twelve years.

Tarar further emphasized that the current state of affairs in the province is worse than ever before, indicating a significant decline in addressing provincial issues effectively.
