KP Governor Stresses Early Commencement of Work on Chashma Lift Canal Project

Islamabad: Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has called for the early commencement of work on the Chashma Lift Canal project. He emphasized the urgency of the project during a meeting held with Federal Secretary for Climate Change and Water Resources Owais Manzoor Samra and Additional Secretary for Water Resources Mehr Ali Shah in Islamabad.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Governor highlighted that the Chashma Lift Canal project is a longstanding demand of the people of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. He noted that its implementation is essential for the agricultural and economic development of the province. The meeting also included a review of water-related challenges facing the province, along with proposals for the conservation and effective utilization of water resources.
