KP Introduces Electronic Jaidad Card for Digital Land Ownership

Peshawar: In a major step toward digitizing land ownership, the Chief Minister of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Ali Amin Khan Gandapur, has launched the Electronic Jaidad Card. This new initiative is part of the province’s efforts to reform how land records are managed and accessed.

According to Zameen.Com, the Jaidad Card will serve as an electronic passbook for landowners in the province’s merged districts, providing instant access to land records via a QR code that can be scanned using a smartphone. This system is designed to prevent tampering and manipulation of records, increasing the security and transparency of property ownership documentation.

The announcement came during a Board of Revenue meeting at the CM Secretariat, which was attended by various provincial officials including Revenue Minister Nazir Abbasi and Senior Member of the Board of Revenue, Syed Imtiaz Hussain Shah. Chief Minister Gandapur highlighted that the Jaidad Card is a key component of the provincial government’s strategy to modernize the land administration system, ensuring that property ownership is both seamless and secure for citizens.

Additionally, the Jaidad Card will include a comprehensive record of each property owner’s land holdings across districts, supported by a mobile app for easy verification. This initiative is expected to enhance the resolution of property disputes and further transparency in land management.

The Chief Minister has directed relevant authorities to ensure the rapid implementation of this system, so that residents can start benefiting from this advanced technology without unnecessary delays.
