KPRI Director Accuses India of Human Rights Violations in Kashmir

Islamabad, Dr. Raja Muhammad Sajjad Khan, Director of the Kashmir Policy Research Institute (KPRI), has accused India of committing severe human rights violations in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

According to Kashmir Media Service, during a briefing to training officers at the Senior Management Course at the National Institute of Management in Islamabad, Dr. Khan detailed the alleged tactics and actions by India in the region. He compared India’s actions to Israeli policies, claiming genocide and demographic changes through the issuance of over 6.3 million domicile certificates to non-Kashmiri Hindus since the revocation of IIOJK’s special status in August 2019.

Dr. Khan also criticized the deployment of more than 900,000 Indian troops in the region, describing their presence as an effort to suppress the indigenous freedom struggle of the Kashmiris. He asserted that Pakistan remains the sole international advocate for the Kashmiri cause, actively raising the issue on global platforms.
