Kyrgyz President Hosts SCO Foreign Ministers for Regional Talks

Islamabad: Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Mohammad Ishaq Dar, along with the Foreign Ministers of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) member states, met with Kyrgyzstan President Sadyr Nurgozhoevich Zhaparov at the State Residence of the President in Cholpon-Ata.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Deputy Prime Minister conveyed warm greetings from President Asif Ali Zardari and Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif and expressed gratitude to President Zhaparov for the hospitality extended during the SCO Council of Foreign Ministers’ Meeting. The discussions were centered on regional and global developments and the evolving role of SCO as a significant platform for cooperation.

The Deputy Prime Minister emphasized the need for continued collaboration among SCO member states, highlighting Pakistan’s upcoming assumption of the SCO Chairmanship for the 2026-27 period.
