Lahore: The Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) organized a significant solidarity walk on Wednesday, demonstrating firm support for Pakistan’s armed forces while condemning recent Indian actions perceived as aggressive toward the nation’s sovereignty. Led by LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad and other key figures, the event saw robust participation from executives and the business community, all brandishing national flags and vocalizing their unity and determination.
LCCI President Mian Abuzar Shad emphasized the business community’s staunch support for the military, describing them as protectors of the nation’s borders and pride. Shad warned that any violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with a unified and robust response, condemning India’s actions as a significant threat to regional peace.
To further demonstrate their commitment, Shad announced the establishment of a War Fund, with an initial contribution of Rs. 10 million, underscoring the business community’s resolve to support the military during challenging times.
Senior Vice President Engineer Khalid Usman lauded the sacrifices made by the armed forces in safeguarding the nation, asserting that the entire country stands united against external aggression. Vice President Shahid Nazir Chaudhry echoed these sentiments, declaring that the solidarity walk sent a clear message of Pakistan’s unity and resolve.
Participants carried banners with messages like “Pakistan Armed Forces – Our Pride” and “United Against Indian Aggression,” with slogans of “Pakistan Zindabad” resonating throughout the event. The LCCI leadership stressed the importance of aligning economic development with national security and called for international intervention regarding India’s aggressive stance.
Concluding the walk, the LCCI appealed for national unity and conducted a prayer for the military’s safety and Pakistan’s prosperity, reinforcing their commitment to the armed forces and the nation’s sovereignty.
