Lahore High Court Dismisses Petitions for Age Relaxation, Cancels Candidatures for Assistant Posts

Lahore: The Hon’ble Lahore High Court has dismissed multiple writ petitions seeking age relaxation for the posts of Assistant (85-16) in S and GAD, leading to the cancellation of all affected candidatures. The decision affects a series of petitions filed by candidates hoping to qualify for the posts despite not meeting the age requirements.

According to Public Service Commission Punjab, the court’s order dated September 25, 2024, specifically in Writ petition No. 4787612024, led to the dismissal of petitions numbered from 47876/2024 to 5555/2023. As a result, the applications of all petitioners who sought age relaxation have been deemed ineligible, and their candidatures for the positions have been officially cancelled.
