Landmark Agreement Signed to Revive Cotton Sector

Islamabad: A landmark agreement was signed between the Ministry of National Food Security and Research, the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association, and the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee in Islamabad on Thursday. The agreement, signed under the leadership of Federal Minister Rana Tanveer Hussain, resolves the long-standing cotton cess issue and sets a strategic direction for the sector’s revival.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the government’s focus on transforming the Pakistan Central Cotton Committee into a progressive, research-driven institution. The goal is to spearhead innovation and productivity in cotton cultivation, ensuring a robust framework for the sector’s development.
