Lasting Regional Peace Hinges on Kashmir Dispute Resolution

Cape town: Minister for Kashmir Affairs and Gilgit-Baltistan Amir Muqam has asserted that lasting peace in the region is unattainable without resolving the Kashmir dispute in line with UN resolutions. Speaking as the chief guest at a significant gathering of Pakistanis and Kashmiris in Cape Town, South Africa, he urged the global community to acknowledge India’s actions and actively participate in securing the right to self-determination for the Kashmiri people.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Minister emphasized the important role that overseas Pakistanis play, describing them as a vital asset to the nation. He highlighted that the remittances they send are crucial to the strength of the country’s economy. Furthermore, he assured that the federal government is earnestly working to address the issues faced by overseas Pakistanis.
