Lawyers back creation of constitutional court

Lawyers are voicing their support for constitutional amendment and the establishment of constitutional court.

Advocate Tahir Chaudhry said there are constitutional courts in more than fifty countries and its establishment in Pakistan is not a new thing.

He said the establishment of constitutional court will improve the judicial system as well as the working of the Supreme Court.

Secretary Islamabad High Court Association Advocate Shafqat Tarar said most of the time of the people and the courts is wasted in constitutional and political cases and the common people are not heard. Hence, he emphasized it is necessary to bring reforms.
