LESCO Ensures 24/7 Power Supply During Eid-ul-Fitr

Lahore: Chief Executive Lahore Electric Supply Company (LESCO), Engineer Ramzan Butt has said that ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply to consumers during Eid-ul-Fitr remains a top priority.

According to Radio Pakistan, the CEO stated in an interview with correspondent Qasim Bukhari that officers have been assigned specific duties to ensure smooth operations during Eid-ul-Fitr. The LESCO Control Room (PDC) will operate 24 hours a day throughout the festival, with arrangements made for continuous monitoring of electricity supply and prompt resolution of consumer complaints.

Responding to a question, the Chief Executive emphasized LESCO’s zero-tolerance policy against electricity theft. He revealed that a total of 1,796 cases of electricity theft were registered across all circles during the last month. Of these, 547 FIRs were lodged and 24 people were arrested.

As a result of these operations, over 2 million units of electricity were recovered. A fine of more than 74.9 million rupees was imposed, while over 15.8 million rupees were recovered in outstanding dues.
