Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz has announced that loans under the ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program will be awarded purely based on merit. The initiative aims to provide financial assistance to citizens seeking to build or own homes.
According to Radio Pakistan, those who secure a loan of 1.5 million rupees under this program will be required to repay only the principal amount. The repayment plan consists of monthly installments of 14,000 rupees over a period of nine years.
The ‘Apni Chhat, Apna Ghar’ program is making significant progress, with over 5,000 houses nearing completion. Additionally, the construction of houses has commenced for 3,000 individuals who received loans in Phase Two of the program.
