Lok Mela 2025 Showcases Cultural Harmony and Peaceful Coexistence

Islamabad: Executive Director of Lok Virsa, Dr. Muhammad Waqas Saleem, has termed Lok Mela 2025 as the most valuable platform for showcasing the country’s rich and diverse culture. He made these remarks in an exclusive interview with Radio Pakistan Correspondent Muhammad Ahsan Amjad.

According to Radio Pakistan, Dr. Waqas emphasized that Lok Mela has been organized since 1981 with the aim of providing skilled individuals the opportunity to display their handicrafts. He highlighted that the event features seven pavilions at Lok Mela 2025, each representing the culture, handicrafts, food, and festivals of different regions within the country.

Additionally, international pavilions from countries such as China, Vietnam, Uzbekistan, and Indonesia are included in the Mela. Responding to a question, the Executive Director underscored the importance of such events in addressing the growing issues of radicalization and extremism in society.

Dr. Waqas Saleem concluded by stating that Lok Mela 2025 delivers a strong message of peaceful coexistence, social cohesion, and community engagement.
