Loyalty to State Essential for Dialogue: Defence Minister

Islamabad: Defence Minister Khawaja Muhammad Asif, while strongly reacting to the protest of the banned Joint Action Committee in Azad Kashmir, has said that dialogue begins with loyalty and complete obedience to the state. In a statement on social media platform X, he suggested that some misguided brothers in Azad Kashmir, who are currently pursuing a certain agenda, must read Article 5 of the Constitution of Pakistan.

According to Radio Pakistan, the Defence Minister emphasized that Article 5 of the Constitution demands unwavering loyalty to the state from every citizen. Khawaja Asif also gave a reference of a verse from Surah Al-Ma’idah in his statement.
