Accra:Gilgit-Baltistan The ‘Maqpondass Special Economic Zone’ is being developed in Gilgit-Baltistan, supported by the Special Investment Facilitation Council.
According to Radio Pakistan, the economic zone will cover 250 acres and is being established through a public-private partnership.
The new zone aims to create substantial investment and employment opportunities in various sectors, including agriculture, minerals, handicrafts, and wood products.
With Gilgit-Baltistan’s abundant natural resources and direct access to Chinese markets, the zone is expected to significantly enhance investment and commercial activities in the region.
