Mardan: 17 Die in Road Accident

Mardan: Seventeen people died while seven others were injured when a passenger van rammed into a parked bus on Swat Expressway, near the Ismaila Interchange in Mardan this morning.

According to Radio Pakistan, the injured were shifted to a local hospital for treatment. Police said the passenger bus was traveling from Karachi to Buner, while the van was heading from Rawalpindi to Dir.

Meanwhile, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Governor Faisal Karim Kundi has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the tragic accident.
