Martyred Pakistan Army Officer and Soldiers Laid to Rest with Military Honors

Bannu: A Pakistan Army officer and two soldiers who lost their lives in a counter-terrorism operation in the Bakakhel area of Bannu district were laid to rest in their ancestral areas with full military honors.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, those who were laid to rest include Major Aatif Khalil Shaheed, Naik Azadullah Shaheed, and Lance Naik Ghaznfar Abbas. The services highlighted the sacrifice of these individuals, with the funeral prayer for Major Aatif Khalil being attended by the Corps Commanders of both Rawalpindi and Peshawar.

A significant number of senior military and civilian officials, soldiers from the Pakistan Army, the martyrs’ family members, and local dignitaries participated in the funeral and burial services. The Pakistan Army remains committed to its mission to combat terrorism, emphasizing that the courage and sacrifices of soldiers continue to strengthen its resolve in this ongoing fight.
