Islamabad: Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif and Party Secretary of China’s Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Regional Committee, He Zhongyo, have met in Urumqi.
According to Radio Pakistan, the meeting focused on strengthening economic cooperation and enhancing bilateral collaboration between Punjab and Xinjiang. Maryam Nawaz highlighted Punjab’s role as Pakistan’s food basket and expressed interest in launching pilot projects in collaboration with China across different parts of Punjab. Both leaders discussed opportunities to bolster economic ties and explore new avenues for mutual growth.
