Karachi, September 08, 2018 (PPI-OT): Mayor Karachi Wasim Akhtar said residents of Baldia Town would have better recreation facility with the renovation of a beautiful playground and park in their area which is a gift for them on the occasion of Defense and Martyrs of Pakistan Day. Development works carry out in those towns where in past no such works done so that they could be made equal to other towns of Karachi. People have this responsibility to protect and take care these projects which have been completed to provide them better recreation facilities in their area. District Chairman Izhar Ahmed Khan, Metropolitan Commissioner Dr. Syed Saif ur Rehman, chairman land committee Syed Arshad Hassan, city council parliamentary leader Aslam Shah Afridi, Gulfaraz Khatak, former MNAs and MPAs, DG Parks Afaq Mirza, senior director coordination Masood Alam, chairman of union council 34 and others were also present on this occasion.
Mayor Karachi said that KMC decided to give at least a park to each town with its funds and before this Shamim Shaheed Park developed in Orangi Town and now this ground and park is being opened for public. Before this Mayor Karachi planted a sapling in Aram Bagh and in the green belt of Nazimabad on Thursday in connection with the tree plantation drives being carried out in the city.
On this occasion Rehan Hashmi DMC Central Chairman and vice chairman Shakir Ali and former MNAs and MPAs were also present. Mayor Karachi said we need to plant as more plants and trees in the city as we can so that we can make the city green and beautiful to make it better.
