Meeting discusses enhancing security features in new motorbikes

Karachi, July 23, 2018 (PPI-OT): A meeting was held today with representatives of Pakistan Automobile Manufacturers Association( PAMA) in the office of SSP ACLC Karachi in which various points related to enhancing security features in the motorbikes were discussed. The meeting was also attended by officials from Pakistan Rangers and CPLC. SSP ACLC apprised the members about need to improve lock and amp; key system in new bikes to better prevent rising trend of motorcycle theft in Karachi city.

The participants agreed to take up the matter with design engineers. It was also agreed that trackers and RFID chips in number plates can help Police detect and recover stolen motorcycles. In the end, it was decided to hold another deliberative session in which representatives from Excise, Law and Home departments would be invited. Regards.
