Meeting Regarding IEP Design Preparation Held in Islamabad

Islamabad: The first meeting of the Steering Committee about the final preparation of the high-level design of the Integrated Energy Plan (IEP) was held in Islamabad. It was chaired by Minister for Power Sardar Awais Ahmad Khan Leghari and Minister for Petroleum Ali Pervez Malik.

According to Radio Pakistan, the interconnection between various energy sectors and departments will be considered a fundamental component of the high-level design of the IEP. After the approval of the Steering Committee, the high-level design of the IEP will be sent to the Cabinet Committee on Energy for approval.

Once approved by the CCOE, the high-level design of the IEP will be presented before the federal cabinet for final approval. The final approval of the Integrated Energy Plan is expected next year.
