Karachi: Meezan Bank, Pakistan’s leading Islamic financial institution, has announced the launch of the Visa Global eSIM for its Visa Infinite Debit Cardholders, marking a significant milestone in digital innovation. This move positions Meezan Bank as the first in the nation to provide this state-of-the-art connectivity solution, catering specifically to international travelers.

The Visa Global eSIM eliminates the need for physical SIM cards, offering users the ability to switch mobile carriers and activate data plans directly from their devices. This innovation is backed by Visa’s extensive infrastructure and compatibility across a wide range of devices. Eligible Meezan Bank customers will benefit from up to 3GB of complimentary high-speed data for 21 days across more than 150 countries, alongside a 25% discount on additional data purchases.

Syed Iftikhar ul Haq, Group Head of Consumer Finance at Meezan Bank, expressed satisfaction with the new offering. He emphasized the convenience and security it provides to travelers, allowing them to bypass the hassle of purchasing local SIMs or relying on insecure public Wi-Fi.
