Mehbooba Mufti Accuses Modi of Using Pakistan as a Scapegoat for BJP’s Shortcomings

Srinagar: Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti has accused Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi of using Pakistan as a distraction from the BJP’s own failures in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir.

According to Kashmir Media Service, Mehbooba’s remarks were a rebuttal to Modi’s allegations that the PDP, along with the National Conference and Congress, supports the agenda of Pakistan in the region.

Mufti, speaking in Srinagar, criticized the BJP for not fulfilling its employment promises and engaging in divisive politics. She countered the accusations by stating that if regional parties were truly following Pakistan’s agenda, Jammu and Kashmir would already be part of Pakistan. She advocated for development-focused policies and dialogue over divisive rhetoric.
