Srinagar: The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) President, Mehbooba Mufti, has openly criticized the ongoing arbitrary dismissal of government employees in Indian illegally occupied Jammu and Kashmir, despite the presence of an elected government.
According to a statement by Kashmir Media Service, Mufti expressed concern on social media platform X, about the continuous termination of employees. She argued that the administration is maintaining a pattern of suppression that has been in place since 2019.
Mufti stated, “Arbitrary and summary dismissals of government employees have become a daily occurrence since 2019. What is perhaps most surprising and puzzling is that it continues unabated despite an elected government in power that had promised to put an end to such practices once in office.”
She emphasized the mounting disillusionment among the people of occupied Jammu and Kashmir, who had hoped for relief from these controversial measures with the newly formed National Conference-led government.
