Islamabad: Mainly cold and dry weather is expected in most parts of the country during the next twelve hours. However, very cold and partly cloudy weather conditions are likely to prevail in upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Kashmir, Gilgit-Baltistan, and northern Balochistan.
According to Radio Pakistan, major cities recorded varying temperatures this morning. Islamabad and Peshawar registered five degrees centigrade, Lahore nine, Karachi twelve, Quetta minus-three, Gilgit and Muzaffarabad one, and Murree minus-two degrees centigrade.
The weather forecast for Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir predicts partly cloudy and very cold weather in Srinagar, Leh, Pulwama, Anantnag, Shopian, and Baramula, while Jammu will experience partly cloudy, cold, and dry conditions. The temperatures recorded this morning were minus-one degree centigrade in Srinagar, Pulwama, and Baramula, eight degrees in Jammu, minus-ten in Leh, and zero degrees in Anantnag and Shopian.
