Minister Denies Firing on PTI Protesters, Cites Baseless Propaganda

Islamabad: The Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Attaullah Tarar, has stated that no firing was conducted on PTI protesters and confirmed that there were no fatalities among those involved. This announcement comes amid accusations from PTI regarding the handling of their recent demonstration.

According to Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, during an overnight inspection of D-Chowk and Jinnah Avenue in Islamabad, Tarar accused the PTI of engaging in baseless propaganda to evade embarrassment. He clarified that while the protesters were dispersed, there was no state-sponsored firing involved in the process.

The Information Minister highlighted the damage to public property, pointing to deserted vehicles left by protesters. He expressed confusion over the objectives of the protest, questioning its purpose and impact.

Furthermore, the Minister criticized the PTI leadership for what he described as a pattern of making bold claims followed by retreat. He specifically mentioned the departure of Bushra Bibi and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur from the protest site in the same vehicle.
